Oreo Rice Krispie treats are a delightful, no-bake dessert that combines the classic marshmallow-coated cereal bars with chopped Oreos for extra crunch and chocolatey flavor. They’re quick to make and perfect for parties, lunchboxes, or an easy weeknight treat.

WHY YOU’LL LOVE THEM
No bake. These bars require no oven and no stovetop when using the microwave method—perfect when you want a fast dessert.
Simple to make. The recipe uses only five main ingredients and one bowl, keeping cleanup easy.
Delicious flavor. Crushed Oreos add texture and a chocolatey creaminess that pairs wonderfully with Rice Krispies and marshmallows.
INGREDIENTS
- Salted butter
- Marshmallows
- Oreos — regular, stuffed Oreos work well
- Vanilla extract
- Rice Krispie cereal

STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS
Line an 8×8-inch square baking pan with parchment paper and set aside.
Chop about 8 regular stuffed Oreos and set them aside; reserve a few extra pieces for topping if desired.
In a large microwave-safe bowl, melt 3 tablespoons of salted butter.
Add 30 regular-sized marshmallows to the melted butter and microwave on high. Stop and stir after 45 seconds, then continue to microwave until fully melted—about 1½ minutes total, depending on your microwave.
Vigorously stir the melted marshmallows and butter until smooth and well combined.

Stir in 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
Fold in 4 cups of Rice Krispie cereal and the chopped Oreos. Mix until the cereal and cookie pieces are evenly coated with the marshmallow mixture.

Pour the mixture into the prepared pan. Lightly grease your hand or use a piece of parchment to press the mixture evenly into the pan. Sprinkle with extra Oreo pieces if you like.

Allow the bars to cool and set for at least 2 hours at room temperature, or until firm. Once set, cut into squares and serve.

Store bars in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4 days.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
STORING THE BARS
Keep the bars at room temperature in an airtight container for up to four days. If you prefer a firmer texture, refrigerate, but allow them to come to room temperature before serving for best chewiness.
Can I Make It on the Stove?
Yes. If you don’t want to use a microwave, melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat, add the marshmallows and stir until melted, then remove from heat and continue with the recipe.
