Sparkling Rosé Sangria Recipe with a Boozy Twist

This rose sangria recipe is light, fruity, and refreshing. Packed with fresh strawberries, juicy peaches, and aromatic basil, it’s the perfect boozy drink for warm days — and it’s simple to make at home. Two stemless wine glasses filled with sparkling rose sangria containing strawberries, peaches, and basil on a table displaying the fruits in their whole forms.Full disclosure: I like cocktails.

If you’ve visited this blog before, you probably already know that. New here? Welcome — you’ve arrived on a good day.

I’m excited to share the sangria recipe below, but first a quick story and an announcement. I’m launching a new YouTube series called Cocktails and Confessions, where I mix cocktails and share some amusing (sometimes mortifying) stories from my past. Episode 1 features this very sangria.

A little backstory: my wildest partying days were in college between 2005 and 2009. After particularly memorable nights I’d email my large group of friends with the subject line THE MOST EMBARRASSING THING I HAVE EVER DONE. Admitting the truth always helped me move on — honesty can be very cathartic — and inspired the concept for this series.

Episode 1: Sangria!

Disclaimer: If you dislike alcohol, are easily offended, or prefer strictly serious content, this series might not be for you.

(This episode was filmed in July, so it has a summery vibe. There’s a slight echo in the audio — we were still learning the mic setup — but the recipe and confessions are intact.)

Serena Wolf
Prep Time
40 mins
Servings:
1 pitcher (about 4–6 cocktails)
Two glasses of sparkling rose sangria garnished with thin peach slices in front of a display of summer fruits.

Ingredients

  • 1 pint strawberries, diced
  • 2 peaches, pitted and diced
  • 10 fresh basil leaves
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 bottle chilled rosé wine
  • Chilled Champagne or sparkling wine for serving

Instructions

  • Place the diced strawberries, diced peaches, basil leaves, and granulated sugar in a large pitcher. Stir well to combine and refrigerate for 30 minutes so the fruit releases its juices.
  • Stir in the chilled rosé wine.
  • Ladle the sangria into glasses, including some fruit in each pour, and top each serving with a splash of chilled Champagne or sparkling wine.
